Description

This is a vintage womens souvenir scarf made of 100% Polyester in Italy. It features popular tourist destinations in Rome. At the center is the PIAZZA S. PIETRO. It is surrounded by 8 additional landmarks including BASILICA di S. PAOLO, COLOSSEO, BASILICA di S. GIOVANNI, FONTANA di TREVI, S. Maria MAGGIORE, PIAZZA di SPAGNA, CASTEL S.ANGELO and the ALTARA della PATRIA. The scarf is framed by a series of smaller squares that present even more landmarks. It measures approximately 31 inches square. Scarf is in good vintage pre-owned condition. When held up to the light, I can see a few very small snags mostly along the edges. There is one larger snag that crosses the FONTANA di TREVI on the base and the "A" in ALTARE appears smudged . Please see these photos and enlarge for a closer look. I did not find any holes and it appears the hem is intact all the way around the edges. Piece looks good for it's age.
